WHAT IS A FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION?
A Fire Protection Association (FPA) brings landowners and communities together to reduce the risk of veld and forest fires. Under the National Veld and Forest Fire Act of 1998, FPAs play a vital role in wildfire prevention, preparedness, and coordinated response within high-risk areas.
In areas where wildfires pose a serious threat, landowners are encouraged to work together through a registered Fire Protection Association to improve fire management, preparedness, and response.
